Staying Radioactive

Once again it’s that time of year where we look to you, the Spiral Radio101 listener, to lend us a hand in staying radioactive in this new year. Like the guy on that really annoying TV ad says, “For the price of a cup of coffee…”

…and maybe we can scratch your back too.

Yes, this is one of those boring posts about show finances. I totally won’t blame you if you skip this one, but I hope maybe you read on.

In 2014, we received approximately $130 in donations. This covered roughly 40% of our costs (including website hosting, storage, maintaining the domain name spiralradio101.com, and professional services). We were and remain content to cover the remainder if necessary – the show is a hobby and we enjoy recording it for ourselves and for the community.

This year we’re setting the same goal. For $300 we would have enough to cover all of our costs. It means that if each listener donated roughly 50 cents, we’d be there. Crazy, right? It can’t work out like that, and we understand – donating over the Internet isn’t something everyone can do, and there was a time in my life where I had to pinch every penny. However, if you are able to donate even a little, you’ll be helping us stay on the air with our own brand of news and opinions from the Spiral, the Skyways, and beyond.

Finally, if you or someone you know would be interested in promoting a family-friendly good or service on Spiral Radio101 and at spiralradio101.com, please get in touch with us at spiralradio101@gmail.com. I believe we can offer a unique platform from which to market your product at a reasonable rate.
