I’ve been checking over the comments on the ‘What Would You Watch?’ post, and I’ve noticed everyone has Wizard101 and Pirate101 listed. I think that’s pretty awesome – real game loyalty is rare and fantastic, and thankfully we’ve got games worth our loyalty. So why play anything else?
Everyone’s heard my hamburger metaphor, right? TL;DR – I love hamburgers, but if I ate them every day for every meal I’d eventually grow to dislike them. I’m here to tell you that is real. It happens with just about everything in life, including games. This is why I encourage everyone to mix things up. Try something else once in a while, even if you’re just dipping your toe in. Cleanse your palette for an hour or two and then come back to the Spiral hungry for more wizardly and/or piratical adventure!
In the meantime, however, the whole crew will be streaming some Wizard101 and Pirate101 this weekend! Take a look at our schedule on the right side of the home page for times and dates. Christina and I are also going to try out Blizzard’s new online trading card game, Hearthstone and, if technology cooperates, a little Guild Wars 2. Jeff and I are going to hop into some World of Tanks and take to the skies in World of Warplanes. And who knows what else? Maybe even a little impromptu NXP party – I got a sweet new ship I want to take out. 😉
